Ilse van Ogtrop, PhD candidate in our group, published her first paper of her PhD. In her paper, she explains how she has successfully tailored the properties of Tantalum as hydrogen sensing material by alloying it with Hafnium. This is important, as it allows for a higher sensitivity of the material to detect hydrogen at high temperatures, as e.g. near industrial processes and combustion engines. Want to know more?
